This was eerie and atmospheric! There were two stories in one – Hazel’s dark passenger and her abduction by a serial killer. I was intrigued throughout the whole listen. There were spooky and odd things happening, presented as a sort of mental illness for Hazel, but in reality was some supernatural possession. It kept me guessing, especially with the addition of the abduction. I really liked the connection between the three women – Hazel, Cathy, and Suzy, their POVs worked well together to show a lot of history and background of their relationship. I wish there was a bit more of a satisfying revenge at the end but it was still good.

Narration by Catrin Walker-Booth was great, I really liked her accent, a bit soft spoken but it emphasized the eerie feel of the story and I flew through it in two days.

There were a few plot points that irritated me but could be too spoilery. There is however a moment when the abductor takes Cathy’s toddler son and it looks like he will drown the baby, (I was about to quit on the spot) but the baby is fine! Really tense moment there.
