Truth be told, this was meant to be a palate cleanser for me and my hopes were not high….However!! I’m very happy to report I enjoyed this book a lot!

Reggie is my new favorite vampire. He was sweetly endearing, funny and charming. His fashion sense, gullibility and protective nature were everything you need in a fake boyfriend.

Amelia and Reggie had great chemistry, their interactions were very cute and sweet. I thought the plot was very solid. Reggie on the run from The Collective while fake dating Amelia with all the necessary romance tropes had me eating up the story.

I appreciate a romance book without a second act breakup, or any breakup in this case! The ridiculous finale with the accounting plot line was so silly and made for a fun ending. I liked the interconnected characters and I’m definitely looking forward to Zelda’s book.

I listened to the audiobook performed by Helen Laser and Daniel Henning. They made these characters shine, and I thought complemented each other’s voices very well. Daniel embodied Reggie and I loved it!
