I’m on such a high after finishing this audiobook. It took a very satisfying twist towards the end and I loved the whole conclusion.

Narration by Helen Baxendale and Jamie Glover had great delivery and set an eerie tone to the book. The chapters performed by the author had me questioning the direction and the supernatural elements throughout the whole thing. Such an interesting angle that made me eat up this story. 

The mystery of the house was sprinkled between chapters from Emily and Freddie’s POVs and struggles in their marriage. After a near death hospital stay, Emily is still getting back to normal and a strange new house isn’t helping her recovery. I thought the representation of their marriage was refreshing and realistic, given that maybe there’s a supernatural effect at play. It was all well planned and made for an interesting domestic drama / thriller with an eerie mood.  Again, coming together beautifully in the end. I really enjoyed it a lot!
