A truly unique book and I recommend it just for the cultural richness alone, the storytelling was so interesting and I loved the blend of literary and sci-fi. I’ve seen mixed reviews if you’re more of a fan of one genre over the other, but we can all be friends!

I really enjoyed the Rusted Robots chapters, the book within the book, and the complexity of our main character. Traveling from Chicago to Nigeria, and even the future and space. The disability rep was a huge theme in this novel and the author did a great job at highlighting Zelu’s difficulties and accomplishments. A story about family that provoked many emotions. I was intrigued throughout the whole book and had a great time with it.

Maybe only slightly predictable if you consume a lot of sci-fi 😅
