Happy Sunday! Continuing sharing my favorites from this year and these are the most memorable books from March:

ANITA!!!

This book was outstanding!! One of the best audiobook performances, it was a funny but sad story. Thoroughly entertaining with magical realism and feminist themes, and a little ghostly revenge🦇

The Haunting of Velkwood

This book took me by surprise. I loved all the paranormal and spooky vibes. Great characters and an emotional plot, moody and atmospheric audiobook performance added an extra spark to this short book!

Kindred

I think this book is a classic. I watched the FX adaptation but it was sadly cancelled after one season. I finally picked up the book and it was just as good! Historically emotional and way ahead of its time with the realistic sci-fi delivery.

The Other Valley

Speculative sci-fi is my weakness, I really loved this book and its world building. Amazing concept, similar to DARK on Netflix! One valley is 20 years in the future, one 20 years in the past. They shall not mix unless strictly approved, avoiding any potential butterfly effects. Amazing and tense! I believe also picked up for an adaptation 🍿

Honorable mention:

Murder Road by Simone St. James. I mean ghosts? It’s like Supernatural. I was so involved in this plot and enjoyed unraveling all the possibilities. I’m slowly going down the rabbit hole of her backlist. Great author!
