Well I ended up liking this book a lot. I was unsure in the beginning but I shouldn’t have been 😅

What a fun group of characters. The atmosphere was great and I loved all the EO powers. That last half of the book was intense and riveting. I was eating up the pages to make sure my favorite characters kept kicking, if you know what I mean.

Victor collecting his own army of a sort to ultimately defeat Eli was a great plot driver. I really learned to love all their quirks and wanted nothing more for them to succeed. The contrast between Victor and Eli and how they used their powers was really villainous in that morally gray theme.

Sydney!! I loved her development throughout the book. What a strong little cookie and I think (hope) she’s just scratching the surface of her ability ☠️ and Dol!!! 🐕💕

Quiet giant Mitch, I think he was the cause of all my tension in that second half. What a way to sneak in this character and I loved it.

Curious where this goes in the second book!
