I really enjoyed this novel, the magical system was so well presented – a nightmare fairytale. I really liked Elspeth and the variety of characters throughout. The plot wasn’t too difficult to follow and the Providence Card aspect was original and enchanting. Maybe I’m just a sucker for a cursed town in medieval setting and misty forests, it really worked for me!
