A great slow burn start to the series, it took me a good first half of the book to really understand and get invested in the story but I’m in it now! I love a good prophecy plot and figuring out all the little breadcrumbs woven throughout.

Great world building and a magical system that hopefully shows up more in the next books – I’m invested in Eliana’s POV now that certain pieces have fallen into place, just waiting for my library hold to show up to start book 2! 😇
