I loved it. This was so FUN! Very likable characters, a Grumpy/Sunshine fairytale with a little magic, mystery and betrayal!

Evangelina Sage has lost another job, as the sole breadwinner of her family, she’s worried about feeding her younger sister and ailing father. Until she crosses paths with the Villain, Rennedawn’s most notorious criminal, and he offers her a job!

Evie is very good at being the assistant of the Villain, working alongside other shady and colorful characters, making plans to intercept the King’s shipments and secretly sweetening his coffee just right. One of her tasks is to find the traitor among them that’s been leaking secrets back to the King.

The Villain’s top secret hideouts are compromised, a bomb threat at the mansion and missing maps are just the tip of the iceberg. Who could want the Villain dead?

The magical world and storytelling was just so natural, I loved all the interactions between Evie and the Villain, Grumpy/Sunshine 100% 💕 there’s a few other side characters that bring the fun into reading each chapter. A solid mystery with series potential. There’s a dragon! Which I’m hoping will be utilized more in the next book because I CANNOT WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER! Heads will roll … or hang 😜
