I found this story really entertaining and the characters very likable. I could relate to and understand many of their obstacles. Overall, this was a book with a lot of heart showcasing the love and struggles of immigrant families. I shouldn’t have been surprised to shed a tear or two in the end after connecting with the characters’ lives. It was a bit bittersweet in the end especially when Phil was saying goodbye to his oldest customers 🥹 AND Debbie 😜 you do you, boo!

I’m manifesting this gets picked up by a studio for screen adaptation, I would love to revisit the story this way! 💕

Very glad this audiobook was on Scribd with a full cast of narrators, really neat and fantastic performances all around!
