Bodie Kane is returning back to her boarding school, Granby, as a teacher. The school holds many dark memories for her. Right before graduating, her roommate Thalia was murdered and their likable athletics trainer Omar was eventually convicted for her death. When one of her students takes on Thalia’s murder as a podcast assignment, along with online sleuths and various conspiracies, Bodie is drawn back to her past. Questioning her old schoolmates and the botched investigation after Thalia’s death, Bodie begins to believe someone else might have killed her.

I enjoyed this immensely, from the writing, the plot, and the callbacks to the 90s. The first part of the book was very well done, I loved all the different reveals and trying to figure out all the new suspects. After the time jump in part two, it fell apart for me, maybe because I wanted more of a resolution after all the new evidence and recollections were presented, it wasn’t as satisfying. I am comparing it to the Serial podcast as the events are very similar to Adnan’s story, especially after the recent news on his case.

This book had all my attention, a mysterious page turner with 4 Stars.
