I was fooling myself that this book was going to be anything but a five star read.
Yes, like many others I loved it. It wasn’t love at first page but a slow gradual build up, much like the unraveling of events between the band. I was invested!
The first thing I loved the most are all the strong female characters. Daisy, Camila, Karen, and even Simone, they really sold the story. TJR really put all the emotions on the page, even for all the other band members. It was so well done.
The second thing I enjoyed was the 70s setting, it’s just one of those decades people of my generation glamorize. LA and rock’n’roll, everything was so new and fresh and care free!
The way this novel was presented in an interview format really actually worked best, I’m curious how this will relate on screen! I’ll have my tissues handy 🤧
Obvs 5 Stars!
